Bacchan Kumar

Dr. Bachchan Kumar is an Indian researcher specializing in art, history and culture of South-East Asia, in charge of the South-East Asian Studies Department, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Delhi, from the 1990s to the 2020s.
A recipient of the Indian Archaeological Society’s Prof. A. K. Narain Award (2002) for the study of culture and civilizations of countries other than India, Dr. B. Kumar was a Asia Fellows Awards (2004−2005) and Asia Fellows Follow-Up Award (2007) awarded by the Asian Scholarship Foundation, Bangkok (under Ford Foundation, USA). He was organizer and co-panelist in various national and international seminars and conferences in India and abroad. Amongst his latest publications:
