Farish A. Noor

Farish A. Noor [also knows as Badrol Hisham Ahmad Noor] is a Malaysian historian and political scientist, an Associate Professor at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) and the School of History, College of the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (COHASS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. 

His research focuses on Southeast Asian history and politics, with a particular emphasis on the colonial era in the 19th century. His published works include America’s Encounters With Southeast Asia 1800 – 1900: Before the Pivot (Amsterdam University Press, 2018).
