Panivong Norindr
A Professor at USC College of Arts and Sciences (California, USA), Norindr Panivong researches comparative literature, postcolonial theory, contemporary French studies, and French and Southeast Asian cinema.
His published works include several essays on Southeast Asian representations in European arts and imagination, in particular “Angkor filmée: De l’exotisme à l’identité nationale”(Autrement, Paris, 2008). He also studied the development of the cinematographic industry of Laos, his native country (“L’apparition de l’industrie cinématographique laotienne” in Le Cinéma d’Asie du Sud-Est, pp. 236 – 242, 2012 Lyon: Asieexpo Edition).
