Inaugurated by French President Jacques Chirac and HM the Queen Norodom Monineath of Cambodia, the exhibition showcased major pieces of Khmer art from the Musée Guimet and the Musée Cernuschi in Paris.
Among the Cambodian delegation, we note the attendance of HE Vann Molyvann, then President of the Apsara Authority, and of the future King of Cambodia, then HRH Norodom Sihamoni.
This was the first major international exhibition of ancient Khmer art since the inscription of Angkor to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992.
The film is part of the Monash University Research Repository, King Norodom Sihanouk Collection, Australia.
