Collections from institutions, individuals and NGOs. A fascinating fund constantly enriched, from Adhémard Leclère’s or Mimi Palger’s photographs to rare feature movies dating back from Cambodia’s Sangkum Era.

Founded by film director Rithy Panh, a Cambodian movie director of international fame who’s been working for memory and culture preservation in the aftermath of the 1970s-1980s civil war, the Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលធនធានសោតទស្សន៍បុប្ផាណា was inaugurated in Phnom Peng on 4 December 2006 with the support of the National Audiovisual Institute (INA). The center collects every archive images and sounds on Cambodia, and it offers free public access to this unique heritage. Bophana Center also trains young Cambodians for careers in filmmaking, broadcasting and new media.
