Apart from the legal aspect in terms of international laws and protection of the Cambodian cultural heritage, the return of stolen antiquities to the temples where they originally stood is a formidable challenge for researchers art restoration specialists. In this article, the fate of the Koh Ker statues claimed back by Cambodia is vividly depicted.
