Anthropological resources on Southeast Asia, with an emphasis on Thailand
Published: September 2004
An Anthropological Data Collection of 94,375 Items from 20 databases (in 2021), this useful website, developed in Thai and (partly) English by the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorm Anthropology Center, includes some interesting data about the Khmer civilization and Southeast Asian ancient and modern history.
The Anthropological Archive Database, in particular, collects documents, photos, audio and film archives that are hard to find elsewhere on Internet. Among them, we noticed 15 photographs of textiles from Burirum (Thailand) taken by Chanan Wongwipak in 1987, with “patterns reflecting Khmer-culture identity.”
