Hans Hinz

Hans Hinz (1913−2008) was a Swiss photographer active in Cambodia in the 1960s. He also contributed stunning images to books on Indian and Korean art.

Even if his contribution has been overlooked, his work was featured among distinguished photographers in a 2020 photo exhibition, The Incredible World of Photography: Sammlung Ruth and Peter Herzog Collection, Kunstmuseum, Basel, 18 Jul – 4 Oct 2020, featuring Eugène Atget, Felice Beato, Alphonse Bertillon, Frédéric Boissonnas, Giacomo Caneva, André Adolphe-Eugène Disdéri, Walker Evans, Hans Hinz, Hosam Katan, Gustave Le Gray, Sherrie Levine, NASA, Charles Nègre, Ed Ruscha, Andy Warhol.
